On Thursday, we met to discuss our desire for an urban site. We made plans to meet again Wednesday at Dan's house at 7pm. We plan to discuss the cohousing book and do a little community building. Please post if you are interested in joining us. I'm not sure that any of us have ruled out living in Hermitage or West Nashville. We've only just started talking.

Are we still on for Wednesday? Is it ok to invite others? I know a few people I'd like to introduce to the concept of Cohousing.

Inviting others sounds like a great idea to me

Definitely with our new cohousing book club -- we should invite new people. These low pressure book club meetings will be a great way to learn more about cohousing and discuss a little about urban cohousing in Nashville. And then when we reached some sort of critical mass in terms of an urban interest we can start making some plans and coming up with a vision or what not.

Is there anyone who would like to meet to discuss the book on a night other than Wednesday? Currently, Wednesday evenings are out for me, although that will change in August. I would love to meet and discuss the book.

Hi Jack and all: Wonderful choice for a discussion book (Creating a Life Together)! Author Diana Christian gives much practical insight into what makes a cohsg group work & what can break it, especially for new groups that are starting a cohsg group from scratch, (not just finding one to join). The last few chapters are priceless and don't miss them. BTW: It would be most interesting to visit Earthhaven cohsg where D.Christian lives, be a very rural and rather pioneering one I'd expect. They're about 1 hr SE of Asheville, NC. Well, OK, it's not for the urban cohsg interests. John (& Carol) Bollinger (still way out here to the west) Colorado
